OREGON SOLAR & battery INCENTIVES

If you are a customer of Portland General Electric or Pacific Power, you may qualify for additional incentives through the Energy Trust of Oregon. This includes specific rebates for solar energy systems, such as solar panel installations and battery storage systems, which enhance energy resilience.

Solar For Homes

Homeowners not qualifying for income programs can receive $1,000 in the PGE service territory and $1,200 in the Pacific Power service territory for solar energy systems installations.

Solar Within Reach

The Energy Trust of Oregon has designed the Solar Within Reach program for homeowners with low-to-moderate incomes, offering increased cash incentives to help make solar energy systems more affordable. Eligible participants can benefit from substantial rebates that reduce the overall cost and expedite the return on investment from solar energy production: $1.20 per watt, up to $7,200 for income-qualified homeowners in the PGE service territory, and $1.00 per watt, up to $6,000 for those in the Pacific Power service territory.

Battery Storage Incentives for Homes

To complement solar energy systems, the Energy Trust of Oregon provides incentives for adding battery storage systems. These incentives benefit residential customers who are installing new solar systems or enhancing existing setups with storage. Battery systems can improve energy independence by storing excess solar power for use during peak demand or outages.

· PGE Non-Income Qualified:

$500 per kWh, up to $6,000 for homes in the PGE service territory.

· PGE Income Qualified:

$1,000 per kWh, up to $13,000 for homes in the PGE service territory.

· Pacific Power Non-Income Qualified:

$250 per kWh, up to $6,000 for homes in the Pacific Power service territory.

· Pacific Power Income Qualified:

$750 per kWh, up to $10,000 for homes in the Pacific Power service territory.

Solar for Businesses

Businesses in Oregon can leverage customized incentives through the Energy Trust of Oregon to install solar energy systems. Solar for Qualified Non-Profits

This initiative helps non-profits use solar technology to lower ongoing energy costs, allowing more resources to be allocated toward their missions: $0.50 per watt, up to $30,000 in both PGE and Pacific Power service territories.

Solar for Tribes

Tribes, too, can take advantage of tailored incentives from the Energy Trust of Oregon, making the transition to solar energy systems easier and more affordable. This program assists tribes in employing solar technology to reduce energy costs, thereby enabling more resources to focus on their missions: $1.00 per watt, up to $50,000 in both PGE and Pacific Power service territories.
